To become a certified Krav Maga instructor you must...
Have at least a yellow-belt rank in the GMAU Krav Maga student course AND hold a minimum of black belt in another martial-arts style
OR
You must have at least a green-belt rank in the GMAU Krav Maga student course
AND
You must complete our Krav Maga Instructor Certification program.
Please note:
- Anyone can enroll in this program, but you're not permitted to complete the assignments and final exam unless you meet all the requirements to be certified.
- This is a self-paced course, so the more time you dedicate to going through the modules, assignments, and exams the faster you will complete the course. Most candidates finish the course in 3 to 4 months.
- By completing the final-exam online, you will be issued Krav Maga Instructor Certification. To also be considered an official member-school of the Global Martial Arts Association (GMAA), you must take your final exam with us in person. Despite whichever way you take your final exam (online or in-person), you will still be qualified to teach Krav Maga.
- There are no other fees for this certification. Unlike most Krav Maga associations that charge a large monthly licensing fee, we do not have any ongoing fees. You are simply required to maintain an active GMAU Krav Maga student membership to continue your own student training and ranking.
